What is the best age to learn a second language?
Research tells us that there is no specific age when children should start learning a second language. Most research explains early is best. My daughter has been exposed to both Japanese and English since she was born. She uses Japanese with her mom and at daycare. Of course, I use only English. However, her dominant language is Japanese and will probably continue to be. What are the best ways to introduce language to children?
I think....
ReplyDeleteIf I had children, I would like them to be able to speak English. I've been thinking that I take them to international school, and I speak only Japanese when I talk to them not to lose their Japanese identification.
ReplyDeleteI think I should learn various languages from the time I was born. The reason is that language acquisition is possible at an early stage.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming that the best way to introduce language to children is teaching as early as possible specifically age 2. Because for very young age kids, their brain is still really flexible and possible to absorb so much information simultaneously. Moreover, since they are capable of learning unconsciously by communicating with their parents, It isn't tough for them to get interact with new language and memorizing stuff.

ReplyDeleteIn order to introduce language to children, the best way is the family has the ability to talk to the children with other language.
However, family is the best teacher for their children.
I think it is important that both father and mother speak English. It is also important to make the living environment English. And I think it is important to come into contact with English animetion and movies and miusic from an early age.
ReplyDeleteI think go to international kindergarten or English cram school are good, because for my experience I went to international kindergarten and talk to native speakers. For now I think I have good listening, speaking and pronunciation skills.
ReplyDeleteI think do not change now your style because I think this problem is she to decide so you should not decide yet it. Important things is what she want to do so if you want to decide this problem, when she become 5 years, you ask to her about it.
ReplyDeleteI think children can’t sit quietly and study in classroom like adults, so maybe through games is the best way for them to learn. Practice making it a part of their life.
